MaK-Tech Seals offers Cartridge Mechanical Seals that are non-dependent on the direction of rotation. These seals come as pre-assembled cartridge units, making them easy to install. The gland plate is designed with slots to fit pumps with different PCDs (Pitch Circle Diameters), allowing for wide compatibility.
These seals are available in both balanced and unbalanced configurations. A common seal head and mating ring set is used across all versions, and it is reversible—meaning it can function as either a rotating seal head or as the stationary seat/mating ring. This design is also interchangeable with metal bellows seal heads, adding flexibility.
An optional quench gland with a carbon ring throttle bushing is available for enhanced sealing in challenging applications.
Single Cartridge Mechanical Seals are designed for use in applications where the sealing media causes corrosion or erosion. These seals are widely used in various rotating equipment due to their strong performance and ease of installation.
